Hi-
I am going to an outdoor concert this weekend and we are bringing dinner to eat there. I volunteered to make a tomato, mozzerella, basil salad.
I was wondering if anyone had good recipies? Also, I would like one that can travel easily. I will have a cooler in the car, but it will be made about 12 hours before it is eaten, so it has to be able to sit in the fridge/cooler for a while with out getting bad.

Hello, sorry if this a silly question, but what is the best way for me to defrost a small piece of beef which i want to use in a stew tomorrow.
Should I leave it on a plate in the fridge overnight?
Defrost it in the microwave?
Help? I know it might be a very basic question, but I'm a novice cook & want to get it right.

How long do beans and chickpeas take to cook in a simmering/casserole/soup sort of dish. its simmering now and I was wondering how long until they are actually done. I have half an hour set on the timer so far.

This summer we have been doing a sort of 'Iron Chef' with my two oldest boys. On Wednesday we pick ingredient from a hat and also which boy will be with me and which with my husband, and whethr appetizer or dinner.
This time it was Pom Juice! Colin and I made appetizers with grilled pineapple soaked in soy and pom juice, served with melted feta in the middle and covered with walnuts and pom and soy sauce. Peter and Andy made panko chicken tenders with an Asian POM dipping sauce. Visit FotoCuisine for the results of Battle POM!

ALL cds are either brand-new still in shrink wrap, or have been taken out once and ripped. If scratches or blemished exist, they will be noted.
